What is
a Doula?
A Doula is a non-clinical care worker who supports pregnant people before, during, and after birth. From birth planning, to resource sharing and labor preparation, we honor a care so you feel fully informed and supported.
Before it got this name, this was the role often taken on by aunties, sisters, cousins, and grandmothers, those who stood beside birthing parents, bringing comfort, strength, and guidance.

I’m Dichela Ueki, a queer Palauan doula, here to support you through your journey of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
My path into this work began with the traditional healing ceremonies I witnessed at home in the Republic of Palau. These memories filled with care, ritual, and community. In those spaces, birth was not just a medical event, but a sacred transition held by many hands.
I see this work as a way to continue the tradition of honoring birthing parents and their healing.
